We have a Database full of book titles that feature African-American children as main characters. There are over 1,500 books in the database, and the listings grows daily. There are multiple search features that allow you to find authors, topics, reading level, genre, grade, etc.
We also provide a Collection of Teacher's Guides, Lesson Plans, and Discussion Question links for many of the books in the database.
A Forum for Teachers to discuss ideas and tips for implementing African-American Children's Books into the classroom.
The Research Section provides information on current and pertinent research surrounding African-American children and literacy. The section contains book titles, newpaper articles, and full academic dissertations.
Book Bundles: We reviewed hundreds of books and selected high-interest books to bundle together for purchase at reasonable costs for registered teachers.
We have an online children's book club available for your students to get monthly book selections and participate in book discussions and other activities online.
