WELCOME SCHOOLS!

We are committed to providing resources that promote Literacy for African-American children. We are a non-profit organization and a majority of our services are free of charge. We provide resources to children, their parents, and teachers. We partner with schools and other community organizations to further the cause of Literacy.

We partner with schools, because we recognize your challenge to reach all students with limited resources. We want to support schools in reaching the African-American population. We have a number of resources available to the students and families of your school, as well as resources for your teachers.

The Online Book Club, for children and parents, is a place where books are selected each month, and children can discuss the book online.

Our African-American Children's Book Database has over 450 books indexed. The database can be searched by Title, Author, subject, grade level, reading level, genre, gender, etc.

We also provide links to Teacher's Guides and Discussion Questions for many of the books in the database.

The Book Bundle Program selects high-interest books featuring African-American main characters and bundles them together by age and gender. The bundles are made available for parents to purchase at discounted prices. Our organization gives book bundles to economically disadvantaged children/youth.

BBR Book of the Month Club, for students and teachers, provides book lists and teacher resources for each grade level every month. Students have an opportunity to take part in the book discussions
