WELCOME COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS!
We are committed to providing resources that promote Literacy for African-American children. We are a non-profit organization and a majority of our services are free of charge. We provide resources to children, their parents, and teachers. We partner with schools and other community organizations to further the cause of Literacy.
We partner with community organizations, because we recognize there are a number of African-American children and families who are strongly connected to their community. We have a number of resources available to the students and families of your organization.
Online Resources:
The Online Book Club, for children and parents, is a place where age-appropriate books are recommended each month. After reading the book, children can discuss the books online.
Our African-American Children's Book Database has over 900 books indexed. The database can be searched by Title, Author, subject, grade level, reading level, genre, gender, etc.
The Book Bundle Program selects high-interest books featuring African-American main characters and bundles them together by age and gender. The bundles are made available for parents to purchase at discounted prices. Our organization gives book bundles to economically disadvantaged children/youth.
