We started Brown Baby Reads as a way to find African-American books for the children in our lives. We are three African-American women, mothers, aunties, educators, and friends always looking to better ourselves, our families, our community, and our world. We have been inspired to BE the change we want to SEE in the WORLD. This is our small attempt to make the lives of African-American children better by providing resources and book titles reflective of who God created them to be...Fabulous and Genius. We believe that a "reading" African-American generation will change the World. Our goal is to see 1,000,000 African-American children reading consistently. Yes, we can.
What began as a small endeavor has grown into a 501(3)(c) nonprofit that serves thousands of children, parents and teachers from over 33 states. We will continue to promote literacy for African-American children
